The first event in EAST’s ASK ME ANYTHING series will be an opportunity to speak to Yi Qiao of ZDF Studios. This is an opportunity to increase your industry awareness and learn about how distribution companies work with scripted producers and writers, find our what they’re looking for and how to get into paid development with one. Or even answer ‘What is a distributor?’
Yi Qiao is Director for Drama at ZDF Studios, the commercial arm of German public broadcaster ZDF. There, she is responsible for sales and acquisitions of scripted projects across Scandinavia and the English-speaking territories. Prior to joining ZDFE, Yi worked as a senior sales manager for Red Arrow Studios International in London, where she oversaw sales into the UK, Benelux, Scandinavia, Middle East and Africa.
Yi is currently developing English language drama projects with UK production companies, including Endor Productions and Three Tables Productions.
The discussion will be followed by informal networking drinks.
The event will be FREE to attend for members of the EAST Network. If you are not already a member, then please sign up - this is also free, but you must meet the membership criteria.
